Riding and crafting questions

So I rolled a Thursar a few days ago and have been working on him in Haven. I am going for a 2h heavy armor foot build, and am wanting to use a mount for getting from point a to point b only. I am wondering if I can get away with just the "riding" skill or if I also need taming/etc to do that? Can I just buy a horse, and then leave the taming and stuff up to others?

On that note I read as a Thursar they cannot mount some animals, and so I am wondering if I can even mount a horse and if not what can I mount?

On a different topic I am currently working on Weaponsmithing. Do I need any lores to get the most out of it? I have been doing mining and extraction, but that is just to get my mats. Once I get on the main continent I was planning on buying most of my mats, as I doubt I will have enough profession points to both gather and do the weaponsmithing.

Thanks for any help!!

You can totally just use Riding and get traded horses. No need to tame unless you want to.

The thing about character size and mounts they can ride hasn't been developed yet so we don't know much about it. I would assume a horse is the base that everyone can ride but you might not be able to ride a pig.

Thanks for the information! Also I found a guide for the weaponsmithing and what lores I need.
