Regarding the CM post: Title Screen Memory Leak/Resource Usage

Regarding this:

"Title Screen Memory Leak/Resource Usage

The current title screen is not optimized. We recommend a few things to do while you are in queue if you want to save on resources. This can only be done before you are in the queue.

1. Lower graphic settings
2.Turn off DLSS
3. Lower Render Resolution Scaling
4. Change to windowed mode and a lower resolution"

The problem with this is, changing those settings after you get through the queue and are in game can result in a crash and finding yourself back in the queue. While meant to be helpful, this is not a solution to what is frankly a criminal state of affairs with the queue screen, resource-hungry scene.

If you know your players are being forced to sit at the queue screen for 12-24 hours, and you know it is using up system resources, and based on the average electricity cost, more additional fees than the 15$ monthly sub you are waiving, and you do not change it to a static screenshot...you simply do not really care about the players you are putting through this. The real solution is easy, and every day it is not deployed is an embarrassment.

I am frankly more upset about this than the queue. The queue and the pain it causes players is the result of a hard problem to solve. The queue screen resource problem is easy to solve, that they are letting it impact the players negatively for this long is very very bad, and speaks volumes.

Please change it to a simple image; I can guarantee you, no-one is appreciating that 3D scene any longer.

The queue screen optimization is the closest to pure griefing that I’ve seen from a game dev team. Why do players need to constantly render a giant portion of the map prior to login? Was that really necessary?

The fact that the obnoxiously demanding login scene was brought up extensivity during the beta and stress test go's to show how stubborn StarVault are to recommendations from the community. In one ear out the other.
As the kids would say, "Title scene go's BURRRRR"
