Star Vault AB (publ) ("Star Vault" or "the Company") announces that Mortal Online 2 has been given a launch date for Early access, persistent release, on Steam. The launch date has been set for October 26, 2021. Star Vault had previously planned to release the game at the end of September. An important reason for postponing the game release to the end of October is that the market conditions are judged to be more favorable then.
Earlier this year, the company conducted two successful stress tests that provided very valuable data and resulted in updated and improved systems for Mortal Online 2. Ahead of the launch in October, Star Vault plans to conduct another test focusing on the gaming experience for beginners. This is planned to take place in early September entirely via Steam after a major game update has been released.
"It feels fantastic that we have finally nailed the date for Mortal Online 2 and that we are therefore not launching at the same time as Amazon Games' major investment New World," says Star Vault's CEO, Henrik Nyström, in a comment.
