I was thinking about potions and how incredibly useful or even needed they were for pvp in certain situations ... they created a meta in MO1 much like heavy metal armors and weapons , and there was no limit to this except for thirst .
That being said I wonder if we could benefit from a further buff of thirst that would be some sort of sickness much like rez sickness in which you can’t drink potion for a certain time even if you’re thirst is at the right value . Not sure how potions even work to create them but maybe ones weighed down with metals like skadite could make this sickness happen faster. Could even apply this to mounts and mounts potions . Maybe have fruit only potions (if they exist) be a less powerful but natural alternative to high end pots too ? That way it could be avoided at the cost of effectiveness of the potion recipe (less effective = more natural = less pot sickness?).
Not sure if this is truly needed but it seems a good way to balance high end dependency on potions , less mounted animals would survive too which would put even more value on good tamed mounts due to mounted combatants unable to heal their mounts with great recipe pots stacked in their inventory during heated battle and instead needing to rely on healers if they or their pet succumb to potion sickness during battle .
