Pet Bonding

  • Add new mechanic called pet bonding.
  • Require an ongoing upkeep similar to housing that allows you to be "bonded" with a pet
  • When a bonded pet dies it returns to your stable with a 24 hour cooldown before you can take it out
  • Require payment (100 gold?) to stable master to "resurrect" bonded pet after the cooldown period
  • Management skill increases the number of pets you can have "bonded" at anytime up to 3 pets
  • Management skill 0-33 = no bonded pets, 34-66 = 1 bonded pet, 67-99 = 2 bonded pets, and 100 = 3 bonded pets. All with separate upkeep costs
Any numbers above are just given as examples and subject to balancing needs.

This mechanic could also be implemented with beast mastery, beast influence, or even a new skill.

IMO learn to accept petloss because even w/ a bonding system when your pet gets glitched out and GMs don't res it, you're gonna be griefed.... prolly even more so cuz even more time wasted and attachment.

I do really appreciate such an idea. Pets need so much time investment to get and lvl them. And the time you need right now, combined with the extreme point investement makes it not worth it. And i think a lot of people think the same cause many stop taming.

I like this idea! its great!
And I don't think the gold price should be so high either. 1g at most to Rez pet from stable its only 1s to stable it.
