I actually like the mouse attack, and I feel it's pretty accurate, but I play w/ kinda high DPI and my mouse is a bit old, so pretty often I end up pulling a thrust when I don't want to. Since there are override buttons for thrust and overhead, could there be an option to lock out these two outcomes if necessary? For me, I find that overhead does not trigger nearly as much as thrust does, and if you are using a weapon that isn't piercing, THAT SUCKS. Otherwise, I find the system very cool/reliable and it allows you to do some pretty crazy stuff while moving (by just barely moving your mouse to charge the swing type you want opposed to having to press A or whatever.)
