NO Archery as Playstyle on Feedback form?????

Excuse me, some of us play foot archers??

You know, those skills you put in the game for archery on foot, that take up all your skill points basically if you skill them up? Now you want to pretend that isn't a style of play, despite your skill points and upcoming weapon abilities denoting that it very much IS a style of play.

The weakest style of play on your game is ARCHERY.

I notice you also missed tamer off your list for some reason...

If you're going to put mounted archery on your list, then you also need to put foot archery on there. Now your entire feedback survey will be incorrect, because i can't put down what the actual weakest style of play is.

"Archer isn't a class!!!"; based on the skill point requirement, yes it is.

Archery is terrible, and i've been explaining it forever. If mages are allowed to do such high ranged damage THROUGH armor, you need to buff archery in terms of damage, even if it involves giving it a defensive penalty so you can't wear heavy armor. It is TERRIBLE.

I feel like armor is the counter to archery. However, archery is the counter to mage. If you can get a hit on a mage you should butter them up. They should have to get safe before they can do anything with an archer shooting at them. Arrows should be interrupting mages and shutting them down + shredding their armor. If people are coming to a fight proper geared, I can see why archery isn't it.

If you do make archery it, you can have full spec foot fighters doing similar damage, and if they put it to where you can't do heavy armor, there will still be people who go right to the limit and use both.

They need to get archery away from foot fighters. They should be taking a penalty similar to MAs without skill. They need to make it so archer / rogue gets a bonus to mobility so they are the fastest, not full spec skinny mages. I imagine if they try to balance things, they will make some mistakes, but with a few tries, they can probably get it right.

Archer is neither a counter to armor or a counter mage. The only exception being if the mage is completely naked.

Even if they just have a little armor on, it still massively negates arrow damage; and they just spam heal and get behind something. The only archers who don't have a problem with this will be high strength archers (it is so dumb that archery scales with strength).

100% agree archery must be taken from foot fighters, and i think the scaling is the real problem there. If it scaled with high dex, and you needed to really invest in archery to get it to work on foot; and if you nerfed using archery in heavy armor.. THEN you could boost the damage and it would become something akin to a mage that can't bypass armor, but is really strong against low armor (aka, mages).

Archery is a joke in this game. An afterthought. A melee option for ranged damage.
The only thing that made MA even viable was the mobility of the horse which keeps you alive. Even then, arrows do so little damage to armor that you are pretty much left to kill mages and horses. Anything else becomes a problem.

Foot atcher? Forget it. Its a joke. Always has been.

I have to agree. The classes that are intended to be in the game don’t even work. So what hope is there for a class that isn’t supported.
