Much more Skillbooks should not be able to be bought with Gold, but rather be handed over for specific Items from specific Monsters or tasks.

The game need more secret quests. What is more fun ? To buy a book for Gold or to kill specific Monsters and go on an Adventure, or make a Task for an NPC, so that he will hand the book over to you ? I loved how you needed to make specific Dungens to get the different Books for Armor Crafting. Forced run from one point to another Quests with a map that will highligt the position are boring, but secret quests are kinda cool. Especially if you find secret keys to secret Chests, that you have to find. Every Profession should have their secret and optional Questline, to get books. For Alchemy you had to buy books from the jungle Camp. That was such a run from 1 point to another Quest and could have been
better implemented

Add a Quest, so we can´t buy them for Gold, or only if we helped the guy or got some reputation. A Book named engraving would ne cool,
to decorate armors and weapons. Books to creaft different handels and so on. I think the game should have a good ammount of quest for the reputation or Quests you can do, if you reach max reputation, and get the access the areas, in which you not have access to, if you have a low reputation.
I'm a fan of quests when they're not traditional and boring quests, but optional Quests. Maybe Quests that let you find out more about the secret Lores, crafting Hints and so on. I do not mean that they should tell you specific recepies, but give you some hints about the mechanic. There could be a quest for a book that allow us to craft Guild-Capes and flags. This could all be optional. You can build Buildings with NPC´s. I would be cool if we could be able to free an NPc from an Orc Camp or from a Dungen from time to time. All optional. Maybe the NPC would have a different look and would work for free, or reduce the upkeep costs. For me PVP and weapon Balance should alwas have the highest priority, but it is not enough to make the game interesting for a wider audience.
Everything has to be in balance and it have to be fun for all players. Also for the roleplayers, Gamblers, adeventurers and hunters. I still can´t wait what kind of gamel Games SV will offer us. I would love to see Cubepoker from the witcher, or some similar Minigames to fill the taverns with life and some music Instruments. i also think that the game need an Area where you can showcase your rare Armors and Pets, without fearing to take them out of the Bank, to show them to ohter people.
It doesn't need many such places. One would be enough. I think Tindrem Main Bank should be a place that is guarded by extremely strong guards. Or maybe add a Bank in the Castle, where not every Scumbag without reputation have access to.

I made a thread about Mo2 in a Forum and i read a lot of comments like this.
"I think the big problem with these online "Hardcore Snadbox Full Loot" titles is that they are way too focused on PvP. UO and Eve definitely have a lot to do for people who just don't feel like ganking each other all the time."
I love PVP, but I share that opinion aswell.

I agree, there should be skill books tied into achieving things more. Gold sinks are good, but skill books for gold is probably the least significant and short lived gold sink in the game. Tying things in with stuff like for example exploration by making it so you can find a book in say, a dungeons library. But you have to start reading it on the spot which might just unlock the skill. Then you have to just use the skill to level it like normal, or in some cases of skills that can be only read up, maybe there is a clue from the book to further your "training". Things like that add a lot to the game. Sure, it will make a lot of full pvpers feel like its a chore to get to MIN MAX ULTRA SWING MURDERER. But the game is not all about that, character progression needs to be important and a process that is rewarding, challenging and fun in itself.

the Jungle. Meditating on things to come.
When I started getting passive regeneration, mounted archery and few other books you had to travel to a small hut near Moh-Ki. By just having books be in certain places you already created an adventure and business opportunity. The oghmium book worked that way and many others. Having vendors that only accept certain "currencies" works as well as proper loot drops.

All of these are not "quests" and should not be marketed as that. Those actually looking for quests will be disappointed and those who dislike quests will see it as pointless.

It´s about creating a believeable sandbox enviroment with player driven narratives.

Well having multiple ways of obtaining a skill would make sense too. Either buy the super expensive book somewhere, or maybe get access to it from a dungeon or other hidden places.

I did like the out of the way vendors but the skill system being a system locked almost completely behind vendors feels like a cop out.
