This topic is a suggestion for making a Torch like Light Orb or luminescence over your body/weapon/hands spell as a Ecumenical Magic School Spell. It fits the Ecumenical School for being an essential, basic and useful spell, that any mage should be able to have.
I know such a spell exists in an upcoming Magic School but I believe it is more fitting to make it an Ecumenical Essential and then Make the ?Elementalist? one stronger (able to light up half a room or somehow stronger than this basic one).
This follows the same logic as being able to hold a torch on your left hand and weapon on your right. Melee should be able to do it and Mages too. Either that or add an oil lamp mechanic you can use on your belt and that should fix it for everyone.
