Lightest yet/strongest armour and does heavy armour training give better movement to light armour?

Cronite. 2nd strongest metal yet lighter than steel. For prettymuch every other material worth putting in armor, stronger = heavier
1. lightest yet strongest? Getting heavy armor training pretty much gives you access to good bone materials and metals. One could, I guess, argue that bone ones are lightest yet strongest (if you take price and access into consideration).
2. Heavy armor training does not improve your capabilities in lighter armors, it just increases the max equipment weight you can have without penalties.
3. The cap? I mean the best "light" armor is inherently worse than the worst "heavy" armor, if both are made with proper materials and pieces and you are looking purely at defence stats. I do hope they add some benefits on wearing lighter armor, like faster movement speed or something. Otherwise everyone will just go for as heavy as they can possible go.
Armor weight massively impacts mana regen and the drop off is very quick, you basically get no armor before the mana regen starts to decrease and human clade only lowers effective weight by 2. As a fairly universal rule Protection per weight goes up as weight goes down. Both in terms of using lighter sets and in terms or using lighter materials.
So there is point to light armor if you are a mage. Also medium weight sets are good if you want full stam regen.

ah thank you, so does heavy armour training allow for same stam region as wearing medium? So there are no speed penalties for heavier armours?
No, it does not impact when you start getting penalties on stamina regen and mana regen. But I do think it raises the cap for the speed penalties, as that is based on your maximum equipment weight.
