how can I learn more ecumenical spells in haven besides the basic spell book?

You can get some scrolls from bandits/chests and scribe them, not sure which are actually available within Haven though.

You can't get enough middle and high level scrolls in Haven to skill your scribing up. Better don't use magic in Haven. Change to Myrland, buy the scribing book (reading scribing up to 70 for about 30 gold, the book is usually available in some brokers e.g. in Fabernum) or buy a spell book filled with at least the most important spells.

The only spell beyond the basic ecumenical spells available in haven is the elementalist stone, which you cannot cast in haven because it's a criminal action.

They really ought to tell you that you really can't be a mage in haven. You can lesser heal yourself and get your mental offense leveled up but you can't actually be a spell caster.

It's best to build yourself to use weapons in haven so you can grind some clade, then change your weight class after you leave haven.
