Lances are currently a primary under Melee Combat and cannot be used on foot. My recommendation is to place them as shared secondary under Melee Combat and Mounted Charge requiring both skills to be at 100 for use of lances. I think that this change will help to open up weapon options for players that want to specify in mounted combat and use the weapon option that is most naturally fitting for the role.
