Hello mortals, I'm getting lots of DMs every single day asking me how the trinket system of identifying and rerolling works, so instead of replying one by one I have decided to make my research public, i hope it helps you guys guessing what's the best decision to make when trinkets are involved.

AFAIK this are the basics:

Loot Luck will increase your chances of getting anything in the loot table of the NPCs you last hit on mercy mode, so the more loot luck the more trinkets you will loot of the bodies of the stuff you are farming. Any % is worth, the more the better.

Loot luck is also super good for non trinket stuff, for example if your guild farms mino king without loot luck you may get one multiverse lore every 3-4 kills but if you go with 18% loot luck you may get it every 2-3 kills. It's still unknown to me if there are some items already in the game that require some threshold level on loot luck to drop to begin with but apparently some items did behave like this on MO1.

Rare Trinket Gem Luck will give you a chance to upgrade the gem tier of trinkets given by NPCs you last hit on mercy mode, only when they drop, this stat has not any effect when identifying or rolling the trinkets, any % its super strong if you are looking for trinkets, the more the better.

Loot Luck and Rare Trinket Gem luck scale of each other, you get them more often and they have better gems. After thousands of hour of research i came to the conclusion that 1% Rare Trinket gem luck is better than 2% Loot Luck if I'm looking for trinkets.

What rings should i be looking for in order to farm trinkets if I'm starting?
On Amethyst gems, from best to worst: 3% LL+ 1% RTGL> 2% RTGL+ 1%LL> 2% RTGL> 3%LL> 1%RTGL> 2%LL. For farming anything else other than trinkets the more loot luck the better obviously.

Loot Amount is to get more carcass and stuff that can stack such as pig iron and grain steel on Risars. if you go to kill beasts that cant drop trinkets its the best choice, for Risars i would still prioritize the other stats since they can drop some of the best trinkets in the game.

The best mobs to kill for trinket drops?
From best to worst: Dungeon Bosses> Trolls> Risar Commanders> Risars> Minos> Sators> Bandits/Scoundrels.

Now onto the rolling side.

Trinket Effect Luck will help you to upgrade mods of primary stats when identifying or rerolling trinkets.

Gem Effect Luck will help you to upgrade mods of secondary stats when identifying or rerolling trinkets.

Strength of Primary Stats and number of Primary Mods is reliant on the metal, you get an extra Primary Mod per tier.

Strength of Secondary Stats and number of Secondary Mods is reliant on the gem, you get an extra Secondary Mod per tier.

Notes:

Numbers with + need further data, just an educated guess or based on already seen results but they may go higher, others with ? are completely unknown to me.

Some stats like %damage have multipliers that allow them to past thresholds on most tiers, +%Free amor weight, +Health, +Stamina or +Mana secondary multiplier is x2 for example. This means that if i rol 6% Free armor weight or +6 Health they will only use 3% of my Total % Stat Cap.

I'm a 100% sure nearly all the tiers have decimal values but they always get rounded down.

I don't know if luck can trigger more than once per trinket roll, its hard to say because of the global stat cap, if you high roll on the first lines any further line will be nerfed to lower values because of the total stat cap.

If you have ever found a trinkets that refutes my research or gives more accurate data on any of the "+ or ?" i have listed please post an image so i can update this.

Basically legacy trinkets have higher secondary stats then what a adamant gem can ever have. Meaning they have to rework part of the trinket system to be able to fit the cuprum pre patch trinkets into existing tiers combinations. Either way I think pre patch trinkets should be COMPLETELY removed and not changed into adamant tier trinkets because of hard they are to get compared to cuprum red coral etc.

Also the reason why you don't have cuprum with topaz+ is because it is impossible to exist according to the game files.

Also the conclusion we can draw is that t1/t1, t1/t2, t2/t1 and t2/t2 are absolute garbage since t3 for both gems and metals is a huge powerspike in terms of value.

ya... sucks. basically gold or nothing because topaz is so rare.

I'm getting reports that you can get +4 raw on gold rings with 0% luck equip so it looks like some of the numbers are a little bit off, it should be because the roll on a normal gold goes from 1 to 4.x but its ridiculously hard to get unless you boost the numbers with luck because all the decimals get rounded down, so even if you are getting 3.1 to 3.99 unless you boost with luck it will always go to 3

Hey bud I got a trinket question: can you get OP trinkets off of mobs that aren't bosses? What is the best normal mob to farm for trinkets? Ants?

The event robmo had where they spawned bosses gave a lot of ogh rings :)

Thanks for this. I would also like to add some info I got. When searching the markets you can look for Amulets based on the name. Rings do have the same names but the modifiers do not correlate as often.

numbers on the image seem out of this world, 19% trinket luck? was the screenshot from the pre-patch time or was it taken recently? nothing i've seen comes anywhere close but i think the numbers were borked pre-patch and may have shown incorrect values.
