Is the subscription payment active?

good day! It turns out that a friend and I are thinking of buying the game, but we found out about the subscription payment, we wanted to know if it is active or when is it planned to be activated?

We would like to know it to see if we try it or reject it directly

No, there is currently no subscription required.

However, this will change possibly as soon as the next big patch that will include TC. No official word yet at to when exactly it will happen.

Subscription should start after UE5 release. I don't think it will happen this year.
