I think you all got into the wrong game. Mortal Online is not a game were people can get overleveled and stump on those lower level. Every one gets to the same playing fiel fast, to make it skill based.

And if grind is what you all want... wait till wars start to happen all over the server. The grind for amor and weapons will never end.

Idk maybe honestly if you think MO is a skill based fair fight kind of game then it would appear you're playing the wrong game. If you want that go play Mortal Kombat not Mortal Online. Nothing about fighting im this game is fair and you'll probably find that out soon enough

So he's arguing in favor of the current mechanics. You seem to be arguing in favor of changing the mechanics to be more like other MMOs. And you're telling this game isn't for him and he needs to find a new game.

Makes sense.

The fast leveling is the most refreshing part of this game IMO. What I don't find refreshing is the method of it. Spurt yourself in the face a few thousand times and your a master wizard. I CAN use autohotkey to get it done super fast, but I personally hate the fact I've had to use outside programs and math the fun out of the game. As big of an advantage as it gives, I'm GOING to do it in a competitive setting. But is it good game design?

I'd say no.

Make killing all enemies give action XP much like we get clade XP currently. You can then allocate it to the skill you are trying to level. Is it as realistic? No. Not if people played the game proper. But it's a lot more realistic than the reality of people stabbing targeting dummies, running in circles, and spurting themselves in the face. Most of them with macros.

And beyond the realism, it has people actually going out and just playing the game. You know... having fun.

I never said fair, I said skill based. A fair game is one where people gets manches with other people of same skill, tactics, strategies etc.

Mortal Online is about making sure your opponents have it as unfair as possible, with your own skill. The idea is to not take fights too unfair. Avoiding fights in this game also takes skill.

Unlime most MMOs that make the game unfair just by having more levels than your opponents, wish takes 0 skill, only a lot of time.

I dont even know why you compare Mortal kombat with this game...fighting games are also pretty unfair, some characters have better frames and cancels than others.

Idk, my PC enjoys not having to stay on for a week to macro. I like the speed personally. There is so much more to this game than leveling skills. I think previous MMOs have forced this mindset on people that they think leveling skills is basically the point of the game. Its such an artificial form a "content".

I was kind of surprised I was able to max out my skills in 4 hours. Glad it's not super grindy but idk felt a bit too easy for an MMO
The real grind is resources and gold and building a castle and such. I love it this way because basically the whole game is end game instead of skill training.

Remember we have one character per account so people will reroll their skills often. The current leveling speed is ok.

the grind of the game comes from mats & their lore, for me anyway (i play duo.) zerg guilds will giga funnel their monkey crafters to start printing high lvl goods, but for a human with self worth, it takes time. im only now making steel weapons and armor, but i have to split my time between leveling that and mounted combat. dying sets me back like 5 hours of rock hitting, and i think it will take me at least 2 weeks to make cronite/ogh things, depends on a lot of things though.

As someone said earlier, getting 100 Magic Offense doesn't mean your maxed. You can now cast Lightning that is not even a good pvp spell. You need to get Thunderlash and Fulmination at least. Until you get there, you're really underpowered compared to melee characters, and I'm not even considering the Spiristm tree that would be a giant next step.

Some basic stuff are really easy, but some other (Crafting, Taming, Creature Control) are not easy right now (compared to how easy getting started with those other skills at least).
