The 4000 series were a disappointment, performance is only a slight bump from the previous generation. Nvidia needs more competition to keep them from releasing products that are essentially GPUs with less cores, lower clock speed, smaller bus and more VRAM on a new architecture.

I saw a video sayin g Intel Battle Mage is worth waiting for, the big issue is more games are starting to want 16 G of VRam. Intel has good prices too, Nvidia & AMD wants so much. Plus most of their cards have 8 G of VRam.

I heard Nvidia relented recently and have doubled the vram on the rtx 4060. A good start but probably won't win over those who already have a card from the 3000 series.

The only thing that really sucks is my card isn't 16 GB $ I hear games are wanting to require that for ultra setting. Nvidea & AMD prices suck. I ran into this video today.

I think games that require that kind of insane amount of vram are probably for those wanting to run on 4k resolution. If it's just on 1080p then 8gb would probably be plenty for most games from what I've heard. It also comes down to how powerful the gpu is, not just how much vram it has.

I am hoping Battle Mage is RTX 4080 range, $450ish for a new GPU is a lot better than $1000+.
