How big of a factor is Race and Attribute allocation at a high level?

How important is race and a proper (maximized) build?

Hello everyone, my name is Christoph.

I have spoken to many people in the mainland about this topic and had varying results, so I figured I would take it to the forum. I did not play Mortal Online One. When end game is reached, just how important is your build? Is it actually game changing or will a skilled player always beat a less skilled player?

Thanks.

Race and build matters to a point and obviously when you place a high skilled player vs a low skilled player the build will mean just about nothing. But when you start entering the middle of the pack skill wise (which most players are at) build can definitely determine the outcome of certain fights.

If you're a alvarin for example you could kite better, stickyback players, and use fall damage to kill your opponents or get away from a fight.

Human could allow you to make a niche build that allows you to have a potential one up vs another player since you have more primary points to play with.

Thursars have the highest damage bonus so they will hit like trucks and have a couple other clades that allow you to do some nice burst damage in melee combat.

Oghmirs have the highest defensive capabilities with insane healing with a pipe you can smoke to heal yourself and access to the ability to drink more potions. Also some active clades that reduce the damage you take quite heavily.

So each situation you run into in Nave will have a better race assigned to it, I would decide what playstyle suits you and then build around it. Realize what situations you're strong at and weak at and play accordingly. The only situation where you may screw yourself over when it comes to making a character is making their age 80 or something and screwing the stats up.

It's extremely to minorly important based on what kind of difference you are talking. If you're talking say, Blain Foot Fighter vs. Veela Foot Fighter they are completely different builds. The game will play entirely different for you based on which of those you are running. One is a slow and tanky frontline build, the other is a super-fast diver/kill confirmed that is made of paper. And it's all due to race/clades and attributes.

Now if you are comparing Blainn to Heurgar, the difference is so small that it's generally just going to be the better fighter who wins in all circumstances. They are differences for sure, but they are small enough it's two slightly different flavors of the same build.

You can always kill scrubs with any trash build but against competent players if your build is not viable which most arent they you can be in trouble for sure.

The game has a lower skill ceiling so skill again can only get you so far as compared to other games. A extremely good players seem similarly skilled as a good player.

Having at that time a min maxxed build matters a lot when you are fighting against other skilled players as the skill cap of the game doesnt give you the required room to win against players who should be less skilled then you.
