Help with starting taming

I am currently reading skills required for taming. Current skills as follows:
Domestication 100
Animal care 100
Taming 30
Vet 70
Creature control 15

I will be learning most taming skills to 100. As reading is a long process, what animals am I able to tame to train this skill up faster than reading? I have tried quite a few animals but they are all too high level including bush pigs, pink pigs, etc.

Read Taming... it is not any faster trying to taming pigs or anything for that matter. You get 9xp PER quarter of the taming circle or a total of 36xp for a successful tame.

You definitely need to read the taming book as Hodo said. At 30 Taming you can only really tame horses but that stops leveling at 31. If you read the taming book you can then level the remaining levels from young to medium age Dire wolves, Brown bears, razorbacks, and similar sized mammals. Personally I did young razerback from level 76-100. DM me if you have any taming or domination questions im also named the same on the mo2 discord.
