Hello there!
I have few, easy to implement tweaks to make graphics more spectacular and fancy looking.
- In my opinion greens should be toned down and desaturated

After:
mo4.jpg

- Too much contrast, shadows are black (and they shouldn't be), example:

After:

- Way too much sharpness (examples above are good as well), I believe FXAA would fix this problem

- I think game lacks aerial perspective (which surprised me cause loading screen have it very nicely done)
Shot from game (with color and contrast tweaks):

Loading screen (look at mountains in both examples):

- A little bit of bloom and some fogs would work fine
- Optional dynamic DOF would be awesome too

Some of above I "fixed" with reshade but anyway- would be good to have it ingame. Bloom and DOF are different story :)
Tell me what you think!

I think the greens are fine. Looks like forests look to me.

I think the shadows are glaring light are indeed too stark. Oddly, not for everyone; but, for enough players to be a real problem.

All of us who played MO1 got tired of the amount of bloom in sunlit landscapes. As for what else you mean by 'aerial', all in-game (not-loding-screen) points of view are first person and from the level of the avatar;s eyes.

By aerial perspective I mean phenomenon when object, which are far away from us have much lowered contrast between object and background, contrast on object itself is also lowered and it gets atmosphere color:

Main problem for me is sharpness and black shadows (my eyes got very tired when playing and I believe many people suffer same issue)- I think there is almost none ambient light. As you said- funny thing is that in this video everything looks absolutely good and normal:

Color balance- it's mostly personal preference. I think pure greens are too saturated, most "greens" in game are in fact yellows and it's okish :D
Bloom and fancy stuff- would be nice to have option to turn it on/off (same like with motion blur),.

I think those pics you edited look way better. I also feel like the colors are to bright and neonish.
I personally like not having any fog, because I use mountains and such as land marks. If they make it foggy I am going to be the man lost for 1,000 years. But if it was raining or something then yes of course add fog and clouds. I feel like the rain is so bad now. Sunny day bright as fuck, and then it starts raining and lighting n shit. That needs to be worked on 2.

Those images are fixed with reshade- I made a preset and you can download it from here if you want (I fixed made some further corrections for saturation and contrast so it will look a little bit different now):
Ofc you need to install Reshade mod (https://reshade.me/) -> during installation you need to install all components for dx12 like in this video:
