Final Standing Straw

So yea we all know I am a nub about 75% of the game... this should not be a surprise to anyone who actually knows what's going on with this system, but look at things from my POV.

I decided I was just being a big baby. I rolled a human, so y'know, standing EZEZ. I might as well run a few parcels just in case. I ran 2 (there and back) and after the first one I was like hmm it's buggin, didn't get any standing. Second one, didn't get any standing either, so I sent in a ticket, and no response.

SOME TIME LATER, I research and realize that IT'S RANDOM AND IT CAN TOTALLY GIVE YOU 0 STANDING, OVER AND OVER APPARENTLY. What in the world is wrong with this system?? Serves me right for believing things are less sadistic than they really are.

ARE YOU NOT BOTHERED BY THIS?

My guess is that they will adjust this before launch, they just need to change minimum standing gain to 1.

Of course we are bothered about the bad reputation system. I think many people have already told everything they think on this topic. Some people have stopped caring and play without standing, some reroll while it is still possible, others avoid losing standing at all costs. And some consider any form of reputation loss as a toxic behavior and you apparently deserve it by their logic.

Henrik has said multiple times in his stream that this was not how the system was intended (to have random rewards), they don't like randomness and the randomness will be removed.

I'd care more my self, but the developers have already stated multiple times that the current parcel rewards are place holder rewards an are planned to change. The devs have also said they plan to add more ways to obtain standing beside running parcels in the future.

Btw, from having played the beta for over a year, this type of thing is half the rage on the forums, raging about incomplete systems during a beta. I do partly blame SV for not clearly enough saying when something is not functionally done or what is pending, but also peoples' extreme impatience and overreaction about every patch when gains are 100X and nothing matters.

Btw, from having played the beta for over a year, this type of thing is half the rage on the forums, raging about incomplete systems during a beta. I do partly blame SV for not clearly enough saying when something is not functionally done or what is pending, but also peoples' extreme impatience and overreaction about every patch when gains are 100X and nothing matters.

It does matter though. Having to reroll a char every other day after you have leveled crafting, plus losing everything because a guard happened to see you dueling outside town is too extreme. There was no reason for SV to change the system when they weren't even adding the new system that will be in game. It worked fine before, now it doesn't, and to no purpose.

I feel u but I'm more in the camp of what Henrik did opposed to what he sed. Yafeelme. Been too long if it's not WAI. Amazing they still have it on 10 clade exp, even.

Edit: and rorry I FEEL THE SAME WAY. Incompete systems, the game is an incomplete system, but you don't put in something so punishing and game-affecting and say well don't worry it's not working yet. I hope with this new patch they fix.

Edit2: Infact, that they can't fix it TONIGHT (arnievoice) to 1 min (at the VERY FKN LEAST) proves something, to me. How can you have something be random then not be able to make it... not random. haha. But yea it irked me because I was going in with the wrong mind set. I was expecting to end up with SOME REP THO.

They mention it isn't designed to be that way and is going to be changed. My guess is next patch.

Honestly though I agree that the way the system currently works is frustrating, but it like what do we do the devs agree with us they already have plans to change it we just have to wait an see if the changes are good. Until than personal IMO the devs are a lot more important things to work on right now IMO. Because as it currently stands your standing in the game doesn't mean anything because of how easy it is to reroll your character with the 100x XP during the beta, an two with how everything is planned to be wiped in 25 days maybe even less sense I heard a rumor they plan to do a brief stress test before launch day.

All bitching about the current state of this unfinished system is doing is pointlessly frustrating you. Cause no offensive your not really going to change the devs mind because the devs already agree with you it not a proper system, they just haven't gotten around to finishing/fixing it yet. This is as equivalent to complaining to a casher about how slowly they're cashing you out, your not going to make them work faster by doing it an all your doing is frustrating your self an annoying the cashier.

Wiping every player I see because once you're detested it doesn't matter anymore. Making standing an even worse grind only raised bloodlust, not lowered.
