So far I love the game, I'll start with it. I never played MO1, so this is all very new, interesting and revolutionary to me. I also make youtube docus/videos about subculture gaming communities and this definitely fits the bill of the kind of community I can get involved with and stick around for a long time while recording my gameplay (Larpushka on youtube)
1) It would be nice if some things were closer, like merchants to graveyard. At the moment I'm in Morin Khur and doing graveyard runs, it takes quite a long time to reach the NPC's. Surely once I get a horse it will be somewhat faster and yet still a long time. I'm not saying 'do it like in haven'... in haven it was really easy the merchant was right outside... maybe just a bit closer than it is at the moment for Morin Khur
Also Moh'ki town doesn't have a graveyard (or at least I couldn't find one) and it's a popular starting location... I get that it's not a traditional MMO but more designated 'hunting grounds' near cities like graveyards for n00bs to get their feet, get coins and starting gear would be nice
2) Horses landing damage seems a bit too extreme, I managed to kill 2 horses with landing damage and it wasn't even high, just a small slope jump that I thought "at worst the horse would drop me off "... what if instead the horse is injured and drops you off and not immediately die?
3) Landing damage in general is a bit harsh. I suggest the act of sliding should reduce landing damage, in Far Cry Primal for instance if you jump off a cliff and you rub against the slope, the landing damage is reduced and even nullified. In Conan Exiles - which has climbing, you can grab on the slopes and this also negates/reduce land. I understand this is meant to be realistic but realistically I should be able to climb and I can't, so I at least should be able to reduce landing damage if my character rubs against a slope (where it is assumed it grabs some ledges)
4) Climbing would be a huge feature, there are so many hills and mountains... it would also improve gameplay and freedom of movement for those traveling without horses or just in general a really fun feature when it comes to maneuvering through the terrain.
Thanks for reading... can't wait to be playing some more
