But if Animism or Mentalism had only won the voteNecromancy has long been forbidden by the arcane university, and all those that practice or display any inclination towards it are to be shunned and forsaken by all. The vile and wretched meddling of corpses and resurrections is an abomination and must be eradicated. No upstanding mage shall practice such filthy magic. Stay clear of this path and anyone that talks of it. You have been warned…
The vote was rigged it didnt really win. Some people accused staff which was highly popular as well of being rigged by 60 votes. So they "corrected" the vote quite openly and bragged about it.Next patch is spiritism right? So is necromancy right after that in September?
I don't get why they even had necro on that vote. The vote was rigged it didnt really win. Some people accused staff which was highly popular as well of being rigged by 60 votes. So they "corrected" the vote quite openly and bragged about it.
Henrik pretty much chose necro anyway knowing this after we thought we were getting a 2nd ingame vote.
They pretty much made allmost all of votes higher then staff out of spit which won the initial lock.
I personally thought it was to see which was the least popular cus IDK why they would have not already chosen and had it already be worked on.I don't get why they even had necro on that vote.
Its obvious that they have necro and spiritism already worked on.
It should have been a vote for next school after those.
Spiritism and Animism are skills you can see in game. So i thought they were being worked on already. Also i knew Necro was being worked on since it's a title you can get from raising skeletons.I don't get why they even had necro on that vote.

Well i always looked at it as they really need everything Mo1 had before releasing this game as persistence. Because Mo2 should have everything Mo1 had and more if it wants to be better then what Mo1. Just my 2 cents.I'm annoyed people even voted for something we already had in the old game.
We all know they have more people working on the game now than they will at any point in the future. That's the sad reality of game development...it is what it is.
Now is when they have the manpower to implement a wholly new school in a decent amount of time.
So they should have prioritized the new stuff now and done their boring copy pasta including bad AI for later when they have less staff.
100% this. Its crazy people want to see the same old crap in MO2 instead of of a fresh and new magic school that we haven't seen before. We are just going to fill combat up with more pets than players again. And if that happens then adios.I'm annoyed people even voted for something we already had in the old game.

It would be nice to get like 2 more magic schools then Mo1 had before Mo2 releases.100% this. People want op death nights, or want to ne edgy goth role players.100% this. We already have bears with 1k hp that hit for unblockable 35-40 damage hits, so just imagine how op the new death knights and shades are gonna be...100% this. Except if they do it will chase people out of this game just as it did the last one. It was very unbalanced.Rigged or not aside, if they already have the technical implementation of certain schools that can be ported across from MO1 sooner rather than later, then obviously these SHOULD be ported first. This is a no brainer.

They must do more than port it over.
People have always said Pets were Op (The bad Players) but there is a few things to note. I have seen some Axes Skaadite hit for over 200 damage. Bear has 962hp not 1000btw. If you just normal parry instead of side parry you will parry most pet attacks. Bears in particular will run away when first told to attack for about 10 seconds or so before the actual engagement happens... Though strangely i have seen bears run away for longer then that. Also pets keep their same defenses and can't really ever be buffed. Now let's discuss 1v1 a player vs a bear. 40 damage a hit out of your average fighter with 200 hp means you can survive 5 hits. Alternatively each swing from a Skaadite Axe can hit 200 damage which also equals 1000hp damage. Now if said player is wearing better armor end game shit like Oghmium armor that 40 damage from the bear would be more like 5 damage. The bear also takes hours upon hours to level up and in a group setting or vs a MA the Bear stands no chance. Lastly since we don't have Oghmium and since i'm inclined to believe you don't have Cronite armor or weaponry (No offense) then it makes no since that you should be able to 1v1 a bear anyway in whatever Ironbone armor you are probably wearing. We already have bears with 1k hp that hit for unblockable 35-40 damage hits, so just imagine how op the new death knights and shades are gonna be...
It wasn't even really about Sv not learning. The First game they were short on Devs and took literal years to come out with content. (Necro and Elementalism weren't Op) Op was Veela Dex Fighters the game was a literal meta around move speed and nothing else compared to movespeed in the argument of What was Op in Mo1. Khurite Dex Fighter was the only other thing you really saw. A thursar was a laughing stock and only meant as a Group attacker with large damage but could never catch anyone. The final icing on the cake if those schools were not at least able to do some damage Would have been a giant joke. Imagine waiting years for content to do 20 damage with a spell. Like no thanks, at least Mortal Online1 had some good times with Elementalism and Necro. I remember people complaining about Death Knights before people even knew Insect Carcass DK was the meta. And i had a Minotaur 1v1 one of them. Oh i forgot one other Op thing. True OP was going Mc and Lance charging someone for 300 damage. If you remember that then you are going way back to Mo1 days. Or remember when kids would complain thunderlash naked Dex Mages were too op for hitting 60 damage. Now in mo2 we can do 80 damage from a Fulmination fatmage lol.Sure but that's beside the point. Unless we're being completely pessimistic then we need to assume that SV is taking at least some learnings from the first game when reimplementing content.

1. You're comparing a literal free bear to a VERY expensive skadite axe.People have always said Pets were Op (The bad Players) but there is a few things to note.
