Deleted my character - Tried to create new and can't create.

I deleted my original character as I wanted to try a different race and when I went to create my character it just went back to the log in screen and when I load back in it just says create - doesn't have my character that I created and name is taken now.

Anyone else having this issue?

It had to have made the character as the name is taken now when I try to create again. Nothing works, even a different name and it just returns me to the main screen.

I am having the exact same issue. I have re-installed, verified files, updated my video drivers, turned off my virus protection and still nothing works.

I just tried re-loading in DirectX11 and created a new character with a different name and it worked. It made the character and says "Enter Haven" now. But of course it's not the name I wanted and was just testing so now I'm afraid to delete again - but I would try DirectX11 from 12.

I deleted it and went back into DirectX12 and tried to re-create (original name that is lost and won't work is now taken and can't use) - tried a different new character on 12 and now it's doing the same thing. I'm wondering if it's just an issue with DirectX12?

*now BOTH names that I have created and previously deleted are telling me they are taken and can't use*

For me logging off, and back on a few times solved it.
