Current Clade Buff Problems

The few seconds they last the current clade buffs seem to be more frustrating and ineffective than useful. A lot of times in a fight we forget to even use them because every second in a fight matters and every button you press has a consequence.

My suggestions

1.) Increase the duration of the clade buffs to 30 secs. As of now the cooldown to use them is so punishing that they are not worth activating in this state.

2.) Or reduce the cooldown to a bandage timer this way we can use the clade buffs in rotations like heals and they will be way more viable.

3,) Give humans something cooler than just magic resistance. Maybe a clade that increases mental offense by 50 to give the hybrid some kind of offensive gift. As of now their gifts are only viable against mages and worthless against anything else.

Human clade gifts are boring and underwhelming yes. But I believe its because there are more to come.
I'd like to see clade gift that allow humans to cast with weapons out or at least reducing combat mode switch animation before/after cast by half

We at least need a way to see if the enemy is using a clade buff. Not good design to hit a ogh for single digits with a malite spear just because he presses a button.

I like the idea of lil special abilities but its not realy balanced right now. Humans warcry is garbage, and veelas mind sheild is just 20% for 16 sec against magic every 6 mins before you get hit,and and thursars 10% warcry doesnt matter since you are trying to DPS down players with melee.

Warcry stacking also favors zergs over skill which further embalances the game.

You have pretty busted clades like rock solid to make you invulrable for 16 sec while standing still. Being able to stand still in a fight is very advantagous as now you get to stam up.

Hot bar combat I dont think is the right direction some of the clades like veela wall hack and human purify and thursar life steal are in the right spots.

The current clade ability situation is a negative from what I can see competive circles.

I think casting onehanded should be a thing with the penalty being 3 times as long with out the skill points into it. Skill points will bring it down to half as long. Humans can get a clade gift that gives skill points for it.

Weapon swaping is too long I feel too. But magic is expreamly powerfull since you hsve no skill based mechanics to counter it.

That would be really interesting. Not sure about casting with weapons out. But @Henrik Nyström did mention staffs. Would be awesome to have a one hand magic staff with 1h blade similar to Gandalf.

Most human Hybrids go for 100 Int and 100 mental Offence. A clade gift that allow him to bandage faster for a short ammoutn of time would be cool.

100 Int? Wow, I can only get mid 90’s on my human hybrid. Most humans I know stick with 90 Int and focus more on dex and strength. I know the Alvarin Hybrid can get 100+ Int but they sacrifice a ton of strength and con.

But I agree a bandage timer decrease would be a neat feature. Maybe even increasing healing on bandages would be viable since human hybrids will suffer so much in strength.
