Simply, for all. Things we need, imo.
- Strongly consider making bonuses from trink / mastery apply to PvE only! Allow QoL stuff like more stable space to be gained. Allow for things like instant book reads. Things that are really awesome but that do not break the game in every encounter. Let people progress because they are vets, but do not give them boosted damage and defense!
- Strongly consider extending 'the wilderness' to everywhere but just outside of town. The desert part with ants CERTAINLY should be. Hyl area probably should be.
- Consider ways to make small groups more viable. Why did we take away Equerry from houses? Why haven't we seen siege windows just make the game zergy and cuppy?
- Consider finding a way to add old systems: thievery, sophistication cooking ( <3 ,) and breeding! Imagine mount STATS.
- Consider making weapon skills tied to the level of your weapon and not tied to how much you grind tasks. Consider fast-tracking player progression from creation. Allow people to spec hard into something and allow them to adjust it as long as they are a fledgling. Allow people to spec like 70s in wep crafting (with most stuff + basic lores like flake and bone,) or armor crafting, and allow them to get similar stats in combat so that they relatively viable from the start. You should talk to the wep guy in Haven and he will be like WHAT WEP U WANT, WHAT PROF U WANT??
- Consider removing clade / mastery altogether. Allow people to select traits at creation that will make their characters unique. It is not your character spec that is supposed to define you in a sandbox; it is what you do with that character!
I'd even be open to (everyone get ready to lose your shit haha) letting people be partial loot on their first character while they are a fledgling.
This game can be fixed in ONE DAY. There are issues that will persist and will need to be ironed out over time, but the game can be made to be something players will want to try in one patch. Stop worrying about upsetting the sweats. If they get griefed out of the game by new players, they can do the same thing they probably told them 'git gud.'
PEACE
