It seems nothing affects the gathering amount. As a botanist this hurts my ego. I hope theres an underlying mechanic that allows for greater harvest.
If not, I look forward to the day when lores contribute to actual harvest amounts or perhaps a harvesting skill. Crafting small botany tools like scissors or a razor knife would be great.
