All in all I think this type of thing will help some new players find direction in the game.
Speaking of new players, I think there could be more details given to them on where to bring the package.
As I mentioned earlier, there could be reference to a tavern somewhere if all the task NPCs are in them.
Also maybe the Task NPC ,other npcs or even a book could give general directions to different cities.
For example, "Tindrem is on the coast West of Fabernum." Could direct a player from either city towards the other.
