Mortal Online 2 - Why I wouldn't play a Beast Master on Release - YouTube A great video describing the problem lmao.

Bears are in a good spot they take 100 PP and deal good damage and have good Hp, once armor comes out for them they will be a great pet. Bears only flaw is they like to run away from the enemy a lot during their first attack order very often and occasionally during a battle they will run away as well...Makes their 962hp basically be 500hp with all the free hits the enemy gets.

Cougars: In Mo1 you could have 3 of these with the herding skill, you could have 3 taur dogs too, they pretty much spell locked mages and hybrids with their combined attacks and could overwhelm fighters making it hard to parry all the attacks. In Mo2 Currently there is 3 lores you can have that will increase their damage/Defense, even with all these lores it is not possible to have 3 of them. You could get 2 of them with the right circumstances. Get one to Lv125 and get a Young one that is lv 30 or so. These have roughly 350hp at lv125. They deal around 53 damage maxed to a training dummy. A White Bear can deal 99 damage to a training dummy. A White bear also has 962hp at lv125. So in Mortal Online1 having 3 cougars did a little more damage then 1 White Bear at the cost of pets that were less tanky and White Bears were a bit better for PVE for having a Pet that could tank. In Mortal Online2 Having 1 Cougar with 350 Hp that will deal like 10-20 damage through armor and gets swatted like a fly along with a baby young cougar is not worth it when you compare the advantages of a white bear. That is because you cannot have 3 Cougars in Mortal Online2 like you could in Mortal Online1. Even with Herding Skill. It may be possible to have 3 Young Cougars but why would you want 3 pets that deal 10 damage each through armor... Once again useless.

Dire Wolfs: Fast attacker but roughly in the same exact spot as the Cougar. Possible to have a DireWolf and A Horse really only advantage. They deal subpar damage and have low hp like cougars. They have some use interrupting mages with their fast attacks. But Not worth getting one of these over a White Bear unless you could get 3 of them.

Lizards: They are missing their ranged attack, possible to get 2 of these they are decent but also require a buff to be in line with Bears and they run very fast. The run speed isn't worth talking about since terror birds are king of run speed and will surpass them. But they need their ranged attack.

Spiderqueen ETA Soon they say: Hopefully it's a good pet, we know Mo1 Spiderqueen could shoot things at you. Mo1 Spiderqueen was way over estimated. In reality it was a pet with a middle ground of Hp that shot things at you. 2 Lizards spitting was superior or 3 demon bats. There was nothing Op about a Spiderqueen.

Demon Bats ETA, currently missing in game with no word of them? Great Pet from Mo1 Was possible to have 3 of these with herding skill book. They did Magic attacks so was a great addition to fighting enemies with better armor for when Cougars or Direwolfs damage scaling was weaker then opponents armor.

Crocodiles: Currently not in game, they were the source of Pansar Scales for mage armor. And you could get 3 of them. They were weak to Pierce damage so were not seen very often due to Mounted Archers being BeastMasters worst enemy. But send these guys against a Sword Fighter or Axe or mace fighter had some good results.

Turtles: High Hp, Possible to get 2 of them. They were tanking Pets and had some uses for tanking things when 1 Tank pet was not enough.

Compodon: A Giant Elephant, Had a attack that did 120 damage and had a HUGE Hp pool. Was a great pet, i'd compare it to Bears and Minotaurs as a Tanking Pet.

TerrorBirds: Fastest Pets in game, was possible to catch some people on Horse with these. Was practically their only use, but a great tool if you lived in Meduli Aka Horse Pvp City. Was possible to get 3 of these in Mo1, fantastic pets, not as strong as cougars or dire wolfs but a pack of 3 you could at least fight a MA due to their speed.

Megnatons: Probably the best Pet to send to fight a skilled foot fighter because these guys had the best defenses of any pet.

Giant White Khurnas: The point of a lot of arguments, it could cast Earthquake in Mo1 and had more Hp then a Minotaur or Bear 1100 hp max level. It had some turning radius issues and was exploited and killed by MCs doing drive byes. A great pet none the less and one that is not in game yet.

Armored Molvas: Usually a Pack Mule mount, players later found ways to breed them giving them incredible speeds and 14 pack slots. They had good Hp and with Armor had some interesting Rush Options towards players. Their damage was negligible, their hp wasn't the highest, but the strategy of sending Armored Molvas was one that sometimes worked since the enemy often didn't see the strategy used lmao. Definitely not a top tier pet but a Mount that is dearly missed in the games.

Pets are a part of the Beastmaster class and so far there isn't enough variety in pets. I know once Minotaur comes out and DeathKnight we will have some other pets but right now i want to discuss why Cougars and Direwolfs have such a high PP cost when they can't compare to the other pets. Lizards can join the argument as well since they don't even shoot yet and you can only have 2 of these too. I always thought Bears, Minotaurs, had their place in the game as being High PP cost pets that had a lot of HP, good PVE tanking pets and did a lot of damage. Ranged pets were good because they ignored armor and did ranged damage. Cougars and Direwolfs were good for having a lot of them in the battle at once. But that seems missing from MO2 so i am just confused what their place is in the game or if there is some buffs planned or something else in development for them. Perhaps Beast Mastery will add something to these pets to make them op or something?
