We're going to call the game "What you should be able to or should not be able to do after receiving damage."

We gotta first address there are are places that don't let you delete items after getting hit by mobs!!

You should always be able to delete items. Barring a mechanic that spawns a loot bag if you try to delete something after receiving damage, you should definitely be able to bag, drop, whatever. I know people delete grief, but there are just so many other mechanics that this fucks up. Not being able to bag stolen stacks is stupid, even if it refreshes the stolen timer or adds a longer "stolen goods" timer, it's ridic. Being able to delete them is grief, but, again, other than a mechanic that would spawn the loot bag either on the ground or like a saved version of your lootbag from when you first took the dmg... you need to be able to drop shit sometimes to fight, period. Bad mechanic for a sandbox game. You should never be hard rooted for a timer.

Edit: on the other hand, you should not be able to mount your horse after taking dmg for a few sec because there is no hard drop dismount, so that would be the best thing other than people just getting spawned on the ground.

The not being able to drop stolen items pisses me off. I always accidentally go encumbered and then cant do anything about it because its stolen. Which is a bandaid to cover that you cant drop items and can only break them. Breaking items shouldn't even be a thing, it should only be dropping into ground lootbags. Like how does one just 'break' a stack of ore?

Their horse should run when you're stabbing it in the ass with a spear. And it shouldnt teleport under them when they go to get on it.

This game has so damn many band-aids on top of severely rotten mechanics that keep leaking their bile out every once in a while, thus a fresh band-aid is added and the underlying wound gets worse and worse, I think we are well beyond necrosis at this point tbh..

Well the part that pisses me off. I should just record me saying this, but it's ALL STUFF THEY COULD PATCH INTO THE GAME PROL TOMORROW. Just change some minor code and numbers. Fucking ay. lol. That's the part that pisses me off. There is a lot of ah damn level shit, like the floating mobs, but it's like lol wutever, but all that other shit that is actually important (and used to be OK, I wonder if there is a REVERT patch button at SV) is really annoying to me.

Idk if it would be a change numbers thing, but they already have lootbag systems. So theres no reason they couldnt implement a system to drop items. And have all dropped items within a certain space all drop to 1 lootbag so a guy craft spamming doesnt crash the server with his 1000 spongewood sword lootbags lmao. But regardless of how much time it takes, its time better well spent than 95% of the new content we have got.

true. Delete timer is a bandaid from MO1. Because after years of people griefing tindrem and killing people in duiels, lootign and running, they decided ot maek the stuff stolen. Because thief 1 would grab the items and die, then hes grey and thief 2 or any random can jack the items off him and keep them. So that was a fairly intelligent change at the time, several years late.

the issue is its not a complete system (like 95% of this game lol). If you can pick up a item that's no stolen you should be able to drop it, not haev the game say 'nop 2 bad'
