are there first weapons in-game?

just wondering if is brawling viable? since a mage cant cast while holding a dagger would be the first weapon an option?

It isn't although I'm sure some brainlet will swear by being a punching only character who takes down enemies doing 1 damage per a hit or something

I presume you mean fist weapons? Yes, I believe SV has plans for them. Bashing your target with your bare fists are less optimal, but that depends on your strength, agility, and brawling skill.

Fist weapons will still be weapons, and will work pretty much like daggers.

brawling is only good for fighting other nakeds if you happen to both spawn at the same priest. If you get into a fist fight you will do more damage than they do. Otherwise its useless.
