Are high quality player made tools useful?

Can't seem to find much info regarding tool crafting, was just curious how a top tier player crafted tool compares to the basic thing you buy from the vendor. Is there a market for these tools or do players typically gather with the basic one?

If you craft them out of bone, the durability is roughly the same as the vendor tools - not worth the effort. Crafting them out of steel yields double to triple durability but sets you back roughly 10 gold in steel - not worth either.

Player crafted tools need some buffs to make them viable.

They are not very sellable currently.

They should become more useable now that there is options to make them right at your house.

Though we still need crushers and such to be able to effectively extract at home.
