unidentified trinkets are intended to be dropped upon death. even when worn. Only worn identified trinkets are supposed to not drop on death.
If you put on unidentified trinkets thats exploiting so prob dont do it. If its too good to be true then dont do it.

So you not supposed to sell trinkets once you find them on a corpse of say a bandit

I don't know what Tzone is on about, but yes, you can buy and sell the trinkets off the broker market once you gathered them off dead bandits.
You can sell identified trinkets on the broker or even trade an unidentified one as a part of a deal with another player. Definitely recommend hopping on to MO2 Discord buy/sell page to see who wants to buy your trinkets and maybe listing yours there. You can make a lot of g right now on that.

He's talking about equipping the unidentified trinkets to your player after they drop. This was not a thing in the first game and "seems too good to be true" as it shouldn't be a thing in MO2. We explicitly asked Robmo if this was intended and he said yes. The community however cannot trust the staff as we have asked things like this before and players have been banned for it. That's what Tzone is on about.
