First impressions are that the game is slow, quiet and empty. Too quiet, too slow and too empty. If I want to farm a graveyard the game immediately becomes a walking simulator. At least initially. And raise the in-game volume... it's ridiculous how quiet the game is.
The game is far too quiet and the environmental sound effects are lackluster and also too quiet. Wind sounds? Leaves rustling? Valheim much?
I was hesitant to get too involved in any one thing because going in and out of town, and beyond, was so slow and tedious that these things were a chore. Changing the character speeds are not going to happen at this point. I can only hope my guy will become significantly faster.
Game has a huge upside. Typically the opinion of most people is terrible, and the opinion of someone new is worse still. Be that as it may I guess I do find some value in my own first impression, however worthless that impression is.
Starting over. Will probably become a human.
