The placement system as is isn't great. You guys are trying to make it better. But in the mean time there should be some lower risk way to determine if an area is buildable or not.

You can make it an item that has some value so there is still risk involved or tie it to engineering profession or something. But it's pretty absurd that it takes so long to find a viable building location.

There should be a way to go through the current placement process to verify it will work then return with the stuff and plop it down.

The risk should be in getting the stuff there and building it up not pulling your hair out fighting a broken placement system.

That would be nice. Players can decide if they want to spend the extra money on a survey prior to taking the deed/building mats. Could make the cost of the survey be more for larger buildings. Like if you want to survey the buildable area for a town vs a small house standalone.

literally a certain level of engineering should allow it, dur. I don't think there is a need for any risk. SV v low imagination. "I think I could build a house here..."

I think the problem is trying to make everything risk reward instead of making it a common sense interesting game... BUT THAT'S JUST ME. Then you know if you are a super engi then you can 'foresee' more things. WEWLAD.
