Before the Second Conflux, the Tindremic Guard Armour was one of the most iconic symbols of the Tindremic Empire's power and dominance in the centuries gone by. Worn by its legions of city guards as they patrolled the streets of Tindrem and its provincial towns, the armour provided complete protection coverage from head to toe in heavy plate. It took upwards of three fully armed and armoured assailants working together to bring down one elite Tindremic guard. Such was their impressive martial prowess and fighting skill, along with their superior Tindremic Guard Armour.

In the aftermath of the Second Conflux, however, many Tindremic guards lost their lives to the megnaton invasion or the cataclysmic upheavals that followed after. Short on manpower and resources to bring back law and order and a standing army to defend its territories, the Tindremic military commissioned a new concept design for their venerable but outdated Tindremic Guard Armour. Numerous revisions were made before it reached its final form.

Instead of the heavy, resource-intensive plate armour, the new Tindremic Guard Armour would be simpler and much easier to mass produce. Designated as a type of soft armour, the new design could now be constructed using any foldable material like leather, fur, wool and silk. It emphasised flexibility, moderate protection, and ease of production. As an official standard armour of the Tindremic military, the designers also went to great lengths to make it look stylish and unmistakably Tindremic.

When the new design first went into production, its blueprint was a carefully guarded secret within the Tindremic military for fear that the new design would fall into the wrong hands. However, due to insufficient manpower to maintain law and order, especially in the outskirts of town, regular citizens who were able to take up arms and fight were called upon to assist the guards. Many of these citizens possessed exotic armour designs imported from all over the continent, in some cases rivalling or even surpassing the new Tindremic Guard Armour in providing protection.

Eventually, the military declassified the new armour and made it publicly available at the crafting librarian for a fee, believing that the Empire would be better served by allowing its citizens to arm themselves for the challenges in the new world. Today, the Tindremic Guard Armour could be seen worn by not only the guards themselves, but newcomers to Nave, citizen militias, and even bandits and wanted criminals. It would go on to become one of the most common armours worn today, a testament to the enduring legacy of the Tindremic Empire's reach into every corner of the known world.

Interesting! Is there a source for this? Especially the de-classification of blueprints, and the claim about three men to take down one guard in armor.

The declassification was a bit of a retcon on my part, while the three men to take down one elite Tindremic guard was a reference to a video I did quite a few years ago. A few guys and I went to Tindrem graveyard for pvp for fun, but inadvertently drew the attention of an elite guard:

The Tindremic Empire is on its downfall.
Lictors are extinct, Elite Guards are extinct and normal Tindremic Soldiers are extinct. All of these powerhouses of the Empire are now traded with low life juvenile rats who lack 90 cents on a dollar. Such a shame to see such a Empire tumble so hard in such a short time.

The Bandits of Myrland will have taken over the entirety of the continent in no time.

Yes, the Tindremic Empire isn't what it used to be back in its glory days. Perhaps even less so now. There may still be a few good years left in it, we shall see.
