    if you have higher level taming you can tame high level pets off the bat, up to a point, so you don't always start from square 1. pets will definitely be more survivable once bear armor & other pet equips come along, so they dont get 2 shot by archers like you said. hopefully when that comes it...

    taming has to be an insane investment, time & skill wise, otherwise it'd be horribly broken. if you put in the effort and level up any bear, you are pretty much guaranteed to win any 1v1 engagement, can 1vX even better with other animals like a terror bird, especially if you are healing it.

    this is the most egregious error sv have made imo, i dont know why they dont take the obvious and easy solutions; prevent keeps from being claimed for the first month & disallow all items and money travel from haven to myrland. better yet, as you mentioned before, ban keeps until mechanics exist...

    fair enough, my point was more so that the most convenient early game facilities (risars/bandits) i predict will be locked behind an unattractive gameplay alternative (being part of a zerg,) although hopefully not all spawns will be controlled.

    i think haven addresses this issue fine enough, what will keep players engaged between content cycles is guild content imo, the best way players will be retained is by guilds effectively recruiting.

    ~110ms north texas, ping equalization makes game fine to play. pvp feels normal, as does pve. if u get the game, you can open resource monitor -> network to see ping.

    agreed, hopefully they giga buff spawns. my plan is to rush a polesword and horse asap to go farm risars, but even going max speed im assuming there will be XX zerg controlling the spawns within the hour. if spawns arent boosted beyond belief the beginning gameplay loop will be locked behind...
