Thoughts on state of the game and what could make it more fun (IMO)

From my experience, cheap gear is already very weak. I wear light armour and a murderer wearing plate and armed with 2h sword downed me in 4 hits (not counting the mercy kill final hit). Making cheap gear even weaker would make light armoured players close to one or two shot killable. Not sure...

In lieu of a proper respec system just reset all clades as a one time offer of good will

I would prefer that those who want to respec to contact a GM on a case by case basis, there are those who do not want to have their clades arbitrarily reset as it would break their build and cause unforeseen problems.

    PvE Server

I share those sentiments as a mostly pve player who enjoys exploration, crafting, and micro-tinkering for fun. But I wouldn't even be here if the game didn't have full loot non-consensual pvp. In fact, I was mining the other day and almost fell asleep when all of a sudden a pig grunted nearby...

Light and Medium armor give running speed bonus

Maybe make it so that your character has to be fit to not have any movement-related penalties? It would make the weight class stat a bit more meaningful beyond merely adding attribute buffs and debuffs. It would discourage fat mages and skinny thieves from going full plate armour and expecting...

    Haven or Myrland?

I think the only detriment to players not leaving Haven is that they will get used to the pve-oriented ruleset, and then when they do leave they are not able to cope. Kind of like a lion that spent its entire life in captivity, and then when released into the wild they don't know how to hunt or...

    Haven or Myrland?

That has been a concern of mine for some years now, it all started back in MO1 when they added Haven which was considerably larger and content rich than MO2's Haven. I opined that there would be some players who would never leave, instead they would form their own separate community from the...

    Other games playing

I recently picked up Zombi and have been having a blast, it's probably way more scarier and terrifying than even Dying Light. Was surprised that the game is very little known and not mainstream. I feel that it is what Dying Light should've been.

    Haven or Myrland?

Just thought it would be interesting to see who is currently playing on Haven or Myrland.

EOS failing to initiate - any help??

The error has occurred several times during beta, it usually goes away on its own after a day or so. It appears to be an issue on Epic's end, apparently, or so I've heard.

Not enough NPC’s that give Clade in Myrland.

Agree, there isn't enough alternative ways to gain clade experience except through pve with a very small selection of mobs.

    harassment

Unfortunately, getting pushed is not harassment, neither is a plethora of other actions far worse than that. Someone sneaks up behind you while you are naked and afk in town, and tries to bash your head in with a two-handed sledgehammer. You are about to start mining just outside of guard...

When will they start charging the monthly fee? Will it be regionalized?

This is just my guess, they may be giving everyone another free month on top of the included free month that comes with the game. If that is the case, it's possibly a gesture of goodwill to everyone for putting up with the first two weeks where no one could log in unless they left their PC on...

    PvE Server

The thing with games like EVE Online was that it didn't bend its vision and still managed to keep its population in the 25-30k range. It simply improved its existing systems and added new ones that stayed in line with its non-consensual pvp ruleset. They added safety switches that only...

    PvE Server

Yes, because they destroyed the very thing that got all the UO vets interested and backed the game in the first place. Without the hardcore pvp, the game couldn't compete with the slew of other games out there that did pve and pretty much everything else better. As Morrolan said in his video...

    PvE Server

The game was designed by and for those who wanted the full pvp full looting experience, and nothing less. Judging by its runaway success at launch it shows there is a massive market for games like MO2 as advertised. It did not need to change its vision to achieve that. To suggest that it needs...

Playing Mortal Online on different Systems

Anything less than a proper traditional gaming PC is probably not going to handle the demands of MO2. I have seen the game run on Nvidia's Geforce NOW which is probably the only other alternative as of now.

    PvE Server

This is a sobering reminder of what happens when a game bends the knee and betrays its vision and fans, in the video I'm about to show you below. Just for reference, MO2 sold over 100,000 units and ranked #4 on Steam in its first week alone, all the while billing itself as a fully...

Game Guide Videos for Mortal Online 2

Mortal Online 2 features hundreds of skills and is easily one of the most complex and daunting aspects of the game for new players. In this video, we will take a look at a number of combat-related skills that can be tweaked for best results. Chapters 00:48 - Aggressive Stance or Defensive...

    Rep loss on horse kill.

I believe this was fixed, according to the previous patch 1.0.0.13: You can now rightfully defend against a player & player pets if they attack you or your pets. A player or their pet that attacks you or your pet would technically flag them grey, would it not?

Post patch notes here in announcements again

What happened to posting patch notes on the announcements section, this was something SV used to do, even as recently as December last year. But since then, we've had to go to Steam or Discord for that. MO2 is a great game in the eyes of many, and it's the small details like keeping the patch...
