yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I think I am through posting after this, but yooooo.

Sauce: https://www.mortalonline2.com/patch-3-1-0-ptr-opens-today-patch-notes

I am shocked.

You guys really should revert the lore experience gain to the way it was pre-sard. For the playerbase who is still left.

Beyond that, lol at mounted bug online.

I am having trouble finding the words. I am glad I didn't wait to uninstall.

You guys love taking actions you can't roll back.

You actually took a pretty stale 'maybe' sort of game, released a server for NA, let the pop bleed out, then started releasing trash content that impacts nothing.

100%, there is no design vision anymore. I won't make a Henrik on Quaaludes joke. Absolutely depressing.

The only way to fix this is to actually roll shit back. I thought you guys had a plan and gave up on talking about roll backs before, but nah, you guys need to roll shit way back if you want a serious game.

You shuda never done exotic mounts. You shuda never done imposed grind. You shuda never tried to reduce loss thru siege windows / soul bound buffs. LOOT LUCK SHOULD NOT BE A THING IN MO???

I could make a rage video about this shit and just shred MO, but I prob won't. You guys can continue to hold this L. You can take the L I was holding, too, switch them around and make a U :D

The whole of MOpop, divisible by 2, puts their Ls together and makes U.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Have fun SV.

Edit: With sound
<--- ragevid.

Game is done, a rollback won't fix anything at this point. If instead of developing Sard, they used that dev time to add content, develop Myrland, and balance the clades, maybe the game would be in a better place now.

Henrik letting everything that moves be mountable is really a throw shit at the wall and hope something sticks moment. He's already said everything was mountable, all they need to do is toggle it on... so basically an absolute minimum amount of work was required to do what, to the untrained eye, looks like a significant update/gameplay change.

Yes you can ride them and use them as an attack, but you will never see a single player in existence do this. They are only obtained as eggs from the Ratzar Hatcher (a boss) that needs to then be hatched. The system is completely RNG with a low chance to spawn the creature to begin with. That's not to mentioned that you have to have Beast Mastery and the mastery skills for the danaburnu to even do anything worth a shit. Like I said, ZERO people will do this. You might see one in town for the memes but these pets will not be used. It's a pet that will literally take hundreds of hours to obtain just for it to die in 30 seconds in PvP. It's also slow as fuck. What are you gonna do if someone with EQ comes along. Nothing, you're dead now.

We had some Ratzor pets coming from a larva. Shitload of work to train the larva to level 75 (I don't remember exactly the level) and then dominate the pet coming out of the larva. And at least a second player has been needed to attack the pet while the beast master tries to dominate it.

The more i think on it the more i also realize how the change in sieging, specifically the uselesness of it, has really made me lose interest over the long term.

Keep sieging, both offence and defence, was always the end game content of this game. It was what kept me logging in on the weekends. What kept me trying to help the guild be ready for. What had me work towards a future larger plan specifically with other people. it was a group effort and required a tight community. It felt like a mission and everyone had to pitch in and collaborate. Territories were fluid and there was always the excitment of an impending battle that meant something. You were always waiting for at attack or planning one.

Ever since they litterally pussified sieging, and made it so only when half the server shows up (and brings impossible lag with it) is a siege doable, that all that stopped. Keeps only change hands when they are sold and sieges are nothing but huge lag infested, server crashing complete and rediculous waste of time that 90% of times ends in failure.

And so, since nobody has to no longer work together for a shared goal, everyone just turned to personal wealth and gain. Making gold, buying the most expensive rings, getting the shiniest armor. personal vanity and glory is all people play the game for now.

It has destoyed the fierce community and cooperative spirit that was in MO1. Danger and strife forced people together and made all conflicts very personal. Now its just a bunch of Iloroses, always complaining that they cant 1vsX because their god build actually has a counter. Solo players that just want to easily defeat everyone, be able to solo all content, and never lose their shiny stuff.

They should have never changed the sieging system, only prevent offline boulder holding. The changes they made to sieging from Mo1 to Mo2 were the biggest disappointment of this game by far.

yeppp, and now we hope THEY figured it out. Dunno about the last part. I mean, it needed to change somehow. It probably should be something you do online, yeah. I really think imposing a limit on how much people can siege at one time would be the best bet. Make it so that you don't need to fire as many boulders, shorter siege, but make it so you have to start sieging lesser shit. Like if someone has a keep, you should have to successfully siege them a few times before you can siege the keep.

I am in a moment of having very little faith in the intelligence of humanity, so I think they probably understood the issue, and they tried to make it like that in the beginning, with those fuckn supply camps or whatever they were, but then shit was unsiegeable. Super joke.

Siege is two things. It is end game and moderation. End game for big guilds to siege each other and moderation for people to siege on smaller scales when people get too out of pocket. It's not an easy balance, but they made the worst decisions on that, and it did indeed make the game stale.

People gush over this game being the only game like it, but in fact... it's only 'like that' when a certain amount of people are playing. If they cannot retain that level of players, it's not that interesting.
