Where has this game been my entire life? (read if you're a veteran)

I've been playing hardcore survival games like Rust, Dayz, Escape from Tarkov, Green Hell... etc... I've also been playing MMORPG'S my whole life along with RPGS...my favorite RPG as a younger kid being oblivion. Let me tell you when I started playing this game I couldn't stop or take my hands off of it! I love the entire system even with how unforgiving it is, and don't get me started about all the rumors' of guilds and what the game comes too when the community gets together!!!

My only question is I've heard a mixed bag from people in comparison to MO1...

Some people say its the same exact game just reskinned on Unreal Engine 4 and ported over.

However some people talk to me like this game is completely different and so much better attended to than one.

So can someone who's played a bit of MO1 comment down below their comparisons?

Does anybody else feel excited for the future of this game?

Is the endgame worth putting 1000's of hours?

Does the PVP get toxic and maddening at some extent with zero balancing, or does the game just naturally ebb and flow like it should?

The community has been great so far so thank you guys!

It's genuinely a mix of old and new. There's alot new in MO2 and it plays better than MO1. The music from MO1 was amazing and is in 2. Landscape is similar but 6 times bigger. AI has been completely redone.

It's a unique and unforgiving game and it's that your flavor there is no better MMORPG than it. Of course it has its flaws now and will in the future. Yes the community can be toxic however it can also be delightful depending on who your talking to.

I welcome you to Nave and hope stay to enrich the game and it's community with whatever you bring

What a polite - erudite - lucid - welcoming and wholesome post. However there is an error, it should read, '..IF that's ..'. I never played MO1.

I think all vets are exited at the idea of an improved MO. We have been waiting for an improved MO now since the beginning. The end game is pvp and owning keeps and controlling land. If that’s your thing then yea it’s worth the time.

it’s hard to compare because MO1 was always a work in progress, and MO2 hasn’t even begun. So far the changes do seem for the better and graphics are much improved.

Does the pvp get toxic? Oh hell yea. The community is small and the feuds run deep. It got so toxic in MO1 that people ddosed the sever over months to try and prevent getting sieged. People with GM powers (at one point VS enlisted vets to be GMs, didn’t work out too well) deleted entire enemy keeps. And yet....it’s hard to stay away. The rush you get in full loot pvp is very addicting and the particular combat of MO just keeps bringing people back. There is nothing quite like it in any mmo out there. I have rage quit more times than I could count, only to come back for more eventually.

and yes I am back for more yet again. Lots and lots more of the all new and yet same old Mortal Online.
