Tower shield mages. Earthquake thursars...

They're a problem, everyone complains about them (particularly tower shield mages, they are just ridiculous).

You want to solve this issue? There is a simple fix :

Equipment and spells can only be used or equipped if you meet the required stat levels.

EVERY spell should have a stat requirement that scales with intelligence.

How is someone with 10 intelligence even casting a spell? That is like trying to teach a chimp how to use magic. It makes no sense.

EVERY piece of equipment/armor should have a strength requirement to even wear/use it.

How are mages even walking with tower shields? They shouldn't even be able to stand upright with that shield with 10 strength.

You should not even be able to put the armor on if your strength is too low, or equip a heavy tower shield. It is ridiculous.

You put stat requirements on spells and equipment, you solve all of these issues of people having incohesive combinations that essentially allow them to have nearly no weakness.

Example..

Spurt might take 20 intelligence. Purify might take 40. Greater heal might need 80.. You get the idea.

We need to put a stop to morons being able to cast, and weaklings being able to lift.
