To open, I check steam reviews every once in awhile, and people are always talking about the same stuff which is that they can't help but get killed every time they leave town. This seems to be the most important feedback to SV even though THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN. I have rarely if ever seen it, even back when there weren't guards everywhere.
OK that being said, I would like to talk about something I feel is a real problem: character speed difference. It has been made more apparent due to recent skill changes and end game damage boosts (and combat abilities more speed % is more speed.) Speed was always an issue with actives, and having a boost me out of here or a chase skill is COOL, but I think the cool downs have gotten way too low and they are way too effective.
I was talking with someone about playing and they said that they can't stand all the elves, and I understand. I was going to say well you can still play, and maybe peel or something? But you CAN'T. The speed of a jumping elf being chased by an elf is too much for anyone outside of that loop to catch. You can get a couple hits, maybe, but if they are smart, they would just keep chasing. Your mage would have to basically run around you for you to peel for them which, while possible, is not ideal.
There are only a few areas, like outposts probably, where holding your position is as important as world movement. This is remedied KIND OF by mounted, but not everyone wants to run mounted. And in the end, once you guys are dismounted, you run into the same issue.
I wanted to post a video that I made awhile ago not knowing what I was gonna capture. Some saint sep was trolling kinda, so I lanced them. They ended up dismounting me (rip jotun,) and as I was getting ready to go at them, some Odinseed came in and killed them. I was right there, and I feel like I tried to position myself to control space on some level, and kind of did, but I only got a chance to max 2 hits (one which I accidentally pulled a thrust haha, and the other I swung wide to be sure not to hit the dude helping me.) The end is what I want everyone to see. I am a khurite, but my dex isn't max. I think it was like 100~. Look at how much space is created. Nobody can close that except an elf. That's game breaking to have happen every 30 seconds or whatever.
