In order to make the game more interesting, I suggest adding the option of making gunpowder to the alchemy of the game, and making bullets and guns in the process,

In addition, four traps can be created in the process

Smoke bomb trap: damage attack reduced in range

Beast trap: it can cause bleeding to wild monsters or players and control it for a certain time

Phosphor: allows monsters or players to highlight at night

Spike: can slow down wild monsters or players to cause continuous deceleration

Explosive: it needs to be ignited with a torch and thrown out. It will detonate after a countdown of 3 seconds

Traps sound badass and useful to put action points into. Every guild would want the utility of a guy putting traps down to secure the entrance to a dungeon behind them for a bit. But the devs specifically said there will never be gunpowder. Don't worry though we are getting crossbows.

The substance of synthetic gunpowder has been fully contained in the game, including sulfur, potassium nitrate and charcoal. If they don't want to add gunpowder, the playability of the game has stopped here

Wait the playability has stopped because we arent in an age and time where gunpowder/guns were invented? Thats an interesting take. Crossbows will be functionally similar to early gunpowder weapons anyway, slow reloading long range damage. Progression will remain similar to gunpowder as a result.

I personally would like the sulfur nitre thing to result in things similar to what you suggest: Smoke Bombs, hey maybe even fireworks, for those in game celebrations.

In fact, these things can be advanced into war tools. For example, in the siege war, we can build a catapult, hit the door pendulum and build cannons, which can well expand the later development.
The artillery can be bombed with gunpowder and shells, and the mage can be resurrected. This scene will be spectacular.
The only one who has been seriously damaged and repaired is the gate. If you insist on winning for a certain time in the attack and defense war, the reward can be reputation. After reaching a certain reputation, you can exchange reputation for scroll in the subsequent increased skill book to balance the growth of the mage
