Just wondering. Title says it all. I feel they are extremely weak in all areas except movement speed.
Is there any reason to roll a human other than aesthetic?

Definitely. Clade gifts are excellent. 4 weight extra before mana regen loss. 25 horse, controlled riding skill. I kind of wish I rerolled human,
As a mage / tamer the clade gifts mentioned above (extra armour weight for magic users, and horse skills) are very useful. Having said that, visual appearance played a big part of the choice as well. I think the models and textures for the other races could use some improvement, but that's obviously a personal opinion, some people may like the looks.
Humans have good mounted builds that can also be a foot fighter, and a viable hybrid build but hybrid is only okish in niche situations.
Outside of that the only good thing is you get a lot of points to craft with so you can be almost self sufficient.

Yea crafting basically, and mounted. That +50 and lores + will get you master alloys.
