Haven - Infinite Skill Farm Location??

During the Combat Tutorial it takes you to a Ranger Vendor on Haven. Where it asks you to kill Springbok and Pigs and then butcher the carcass. These Springbok/Pigs are "special" in the fact that they have less resistances than other Springboks/Pigs, so you one shot them with any bow. This is fine for the tutorial but after the tutorial is done and finished, they are still there. They still only take one kill to kill and you can infinitely farm them.

Other Springbok in the area, not at this specific spot, take 5-10 arrows to kill with a tutorial bow while these take one single shot.

I get that you cant use this to farm infinite materials or infinite gold because of the caps upon leaving, however...

You can level up your Butchering, Cooking, Pig Lore and Springbok Lore to max without any difficulties. PLUS you can sell to the guy and get infinite arrows AND bows... and never have to leave the area. Meaning when you do decide to leave Haven and go to the main continent, you can then use your insane advantage if you decided to follow the tutorial... And farm these animals and get max returns and then sell the items.

Just curious if this is intended???

So this was done with my new bow that I just crafted that has about double the dmg of the starter bow you can buy from the Vendor. It takes 5 shots to kill the normal Springbok and 1 single shot to kill the "Tutorial" Springbok. So it will take 10 shots vs 1 shot with the tutorial bow.

5g afaik. And 5000 stack max. They nerf'd. I left haven quickly to make room for the nubs, but the haven instances were actually controlled pop and the real world was a shit show. Not because of pvp, but because of just ridic dudes everywhere. Like the GY is unbearable. I was expecting more pvp so that people would have to move around, but it's just big blobs of people.

Again... As I stated in my post I know it cannot be used to get max gold. But it can be used to absolutely steamroll and powerlevel through this profession. Were talking about something that normally takes 10's of hours into just a matter of a few hours. With zero risk, no money loss from arrows, literally just infinite farm.

I dunno about 10 hours, do the cooking with water, butcher for the lore levels. It's bearable. I did it on x1 once, and I will do it again. IN REAL WORLD. Wanna talk about a grind freakin' try doing ore extraction from 0. lol. Or wep crafting.

Yeah and the instance I am in, I've seen like ... 3 players maybe? I have an entire island to myself to just farm and get max skills before even leaving or having any risk. I just think that Haven is too overpowered - and people arent realizing the issues with the game this has.... a Hardcore game where you can spend infinite time leveling, where all the buildings and crafting tables are actually closer together... which means its not only easier in the lack of PvP sense but its also FASTER because everything is so close together. No running around from town to town for specific buildings... or running large distances to butcher/mine/chop wood... Its all in a small cluster.

I agree w/ that being an issue. What you stated is also an issue, but it's not a game breaking issue. The issue of people skilling up in haven is def 'an issue' but they are mostly nubs who are gonna get farmed out of the game and they are wasting their refund time so... - shrug - kinda sucks for them. Enjoy it while you can, I'd say.

This is the problem with it. They take one shot to kill. And they are literally 2 seconds away from every station and vendor.

One I think it'll be more than just a "few" unless your meaning of few means 3+ and 50 counts as a "few".

Two there is risk involved in that, you need a mount, you need to be able to catch and kill, travel to and carry them back.

Compared to this... where there is 0 risk, 0 travel, and requires 1 arrow to kill with a 1 silver bow. And you can instantly sell anything you get from butchering them to the vendor for about 5 silver. So every time you come back you can buy 25 arrows or 5 bows, and only use one arrow to kill them.

It isnt about how this BREAKS THE GAME, its about how this is 100% unintended by the dev's.

ban em!

Edit: haven is derp land, it's all intended. That's why they added in all these stops... because before they had a haven bank and you could legit traffic mats en masse from haven lol.

You want a hardcore game, spawn in myrland!!

It's like no one understands how MMORPG's work here... as if these arguments havent been had a thousand times over every other MMORPG out there....

Putting a blind eye to something that is obviously a problem is part of the problem. Everyone here is like yeah its intended, when you all should be saying yeah they should fix this. The dev's see your non-concern about the issue and then they are like its okay we can leave it this way. They are a business, make issues with things that are obvious problems to the function of the game. They have to keep their player base happy or they dont make money. Period.

Stop being apart of the problem and shrugging every issue off cause you love the damned game. I love the game too, I loved MO1 as well. You know what I hated about MO1??? How it died because of the thousands of issues with it that added up that you and I could look past but the VAST MAJORITY couldnt.

The same exact thing happened to New World - it wasnt any ONE issue that made the playerbase go from 1 million to 60,000 and still declining. It was a MULTITUDE of issues that spiraled out of control and made people be like why should I play this stupid fucking game?

This game will most assuredly die just like MO1, just like New World, if we keep putting a blind eye to the glaring issues.

Also it seems Henrik is limiting the progression of money on Haven as well. Even though thats not exactly what you asked for.

I personally don't see it as a problem because Haven is extremely limited in resources. Even if you max what is available there, the players still have so much work ahead of them from a profession stand point.

Double edged sword.

You could put a skill cap on skills in Haven, but now people potentially come out less prepared.
Honestly I think this would be a good idea... MO1 there was a limitation on the trial players to a max of 60 skill points per skill. So maybe something like that. Or probably the best bet would just to be a timelimit you can spend actively in Haven - which would also discourage AFK'ng although I am not sure that would help with the server queues any... because Haven is separate from the mainland.

I think its a huge problem because its just so much easier than on the mainland. Like I said my main gripe at this exact moment had to do with these deer that can be one shot. So making them stop being one shottable after the trial. And making the benches only usable during the tutorial. Basically disabling them, or maybe they break after a certain amount of uses. I mean their are a million fixes for this simple problem.

Haven is supposed to be a one to one of whatever city it is... I cant remember the name. So why does haven have these weird benches just out in the middle of a forest other than for tutorial sake? Remove them after the tutorial is done. So that way you have to atleast spend the same amount of time as you would on the mainland doing the exact same task.

If it means anything I personally don't agree with MO2's version of Haven.

The MO1 version of Haven was much better. It actually was the most sensible tutorial Mortal ever had.
