SO, I was thinking about ghosting in MO again. The etherworld is some of the most dogshit content in MMO history. The fact that they added stuff you can do in the etherworld is as meme as their fascination with BUGS mobs, but let's put that aside. There is NO REASON why you cannot port from city to city as a naked, with some restrictions. If they are worried about trinkets (how could they be, cuz you can already ghost with them,) then make it so you can't wear them during.

Restrictions could be a time limit you have to wait before you can port or a limit after you port. A limit per day. E T C.

This brings me to my next point, which is population and the way the world is designed. It is designed, or at least people believe it is most efficient, to set up shop and camp a spot on the map with your little group or zerg if you are 'big enough.' This is why some people swear that the game is active and other people are like it's empty! You ride around the world, and it is super empty, but in a valuable spot, there is probably someone logged on at every hour, even if there are only 300 people on. Why? Because there will always be some sweaty trying to get a leg up.

How do we fix this? I think outposts were a great idea, and I think that there are some that are in good locations, but I wonder if a lot of them just became a spot in someone's territory, something else to claim. I would like to see more claimable places near the center of the map, or in different spots. It would be cool if those spots had no build zones around them, and maybe you could get something out of them. Kind of like the idea of PoI but with open pvp / contest system. I would also like to see spots that you could contest at any time. So, people who wanna fight all of the time and do something all of the time can go there and contest it.

Shit, put a spot in the sewers, too. You know? Stay with that idea. I still believe the siege system is neutered and the people who are left are too weak-willed to really accept real siege anymore. However, if people want to keep their SH spam and PoIs and everything, add in more shit that people can pvp for without as many rules to get people moving around the world. Allow people to make gains by moving from town to town. 40 rep for a parcel is a fucking joke. Why aren't there daily parcel delivery tasks? ayyy.

Lastly, there is no incentive to manage people in any way other than killing them, no way to gainfully set up a system of people not in your guild, e.g. citizens. There has to be a way to thread the needle for all of those things because they are all related. MO combat is always gonna be janky. It's always BEEN JANKY. It worked a bit because it's first person and the world had something to offer. People will deal with the combat if the game is good. Make the game good. Allow people to gain doing noncombat things and they won't quit (like me with cooking in MO1!) and allow pvpers to pvp for gain without getting zerged or being penalized. Do this by making enough spots to contest that you can't really zerg, or people can just re-claim it as soon as your zerg goes to the next spot. Baw.

We should be able to teleport to any blue city while dead. No flux in inventory and no spirit boxes. End the insanity. I sub to play the game, not ghost travel.
