battanian bannerlord player here, I hate using horses, but if the emperor wills it then it will be done. however the player vs. horses continues, and finding a means of horseback, is complicated, so without mount auctions on MYR Alt 1,2,3,4, and its the only means of travel. but the implication of throwing nets and bolas, for footsoldiers when dismounted, however javelins, throwing axes, and knives, can be used, on horseback. if i can slow them down to catch up, and still be a threat. without them speeding up and slow down, and again and again.

Throwing weapons are actually a planned feature. Though there are about as many "planned features" as there are features in-game so I wouldn't hold your breath on seeing them any time soon.

Sounds fun, and dismount isn't in the game yet. It's like glad mounted combat is a thing when you can't reliable knock them off their horses when there's 100 horses.

I still cant believe EQ cost for mages, its insane. But yeah would be cool af to have throwables that can dismount that would be súper fun
