A Overflow server (Idea to combat queue) but not effect the dream of 1 server.

Just an Idea to combat the Current queue's. (had messaged Henrik on discord about this no idea if read)

So as title says an Overflow server, basically a Mirror Image of the main world, but that has Banks and Building's disabled, you have a notice on screen that you are currently playing in the Overflow area of the game, you will be automatically transferred to main server when a place is available.

Basically a queue within the game, so Players can still work on there skills Glades etc and ultimately get to play the game, but with the ability to bank items / build a house etc turned off, so only items gathered / gained that is in the player inventory will transfer over to mainland once a spot comes up.

Surely something like this would be easy to set up and run as almost like a Sub queue for the main world, not only would this keep 1000s of your players happy, but in turn would hopefully be a short term solution until either the players dwindle in numbers or main server is able to sustain a Higher amount of players on the mainland server.

Just an idea.

No banks or houses? No thanks! You might as well Just stay in Haven. Your idea will make this overflow server a “Battle Royale,” which will essentially isolate PvErs which is not in line with SV’s vision.

Think you fail to understand the Idea, its an Overflow system to allows players into the game, Gives everything the main world, you just cant build your house keeps etc inside this overflow as its purely an overflow, Turning the bank off also, stops any issues with the overflow / mainland conflicting with data. its a gap stop instead of waiting in a queue for 1 - 12 hours your ingame still, just waiting to transfer to main game server. a queue within a queue so to speak but able of playing your character.

It’s sounds complicated and expensive and then what if it has a ton of bugs? Now they have to try to maintain the main server, an overflow server and Haven. The idea just won’t work for a small Dev team. They won’t see your logic especially if your just using it to level your skills and clades as you mentioned in your OP. You can do all that in Haven.

True, more work to take on for a small Dev team, as for bugs, Its a mirror image of what is already in place, but with 2 things disabled, yes could cause a problem depending on how that coding is worked, but as for doing it all in Haven, totally disagree, as Haven is limited and was initially designed just so people got a feel for the game, as was never intended for long term play. (hence basic stuff within Haven) -- Its also a investment idea for the game, when they plan to introduce subs then people expect to be able to log into game and play. the sooner people can get into main game and play at a steady pace the sooner the company can start making some money also :)..

Anyway was just an idea that popped into my head, maybe its not the best idea, but its an idea after all.

And probably better than the constant screams that I'm seeing on discord of people demanding there money back etc.

We had que issues when they tried to make a royale style game and things like this was discussed then as well.

They did eventually get a lobby of sorts in the Royale game but it was pretty much just chat boxes you could switch between.

They could have went further with it for sure but it still was better than nothing.

So not possible, but now the announcement that pretty much this idea will be used. interesting :) but at last some good news.

Yeah haha. Thank gawd we still get to have banks though on these instances. That would be a disaster not being able to store things in a full loot open world PvP game. This way smaller guilds can still function.

There is nothing announced about "no banks". Of cause there must be the same banks as in the mainland. When you switch between Haven instances then the bank is of cause transferred! The only restriction of Myrland mirrors is no housing.

I was referring to the OP’s original idea to have banks disabled. Not Henrik’s new solution. 😉
