Am i the only one who looks at necromancy, and is confused as to why it is designed to be used in close range, when it should really be the ultimate pet build?

If there is ONE spell they needed to get PERFECT, it is Command undead. This one spell dictates whether you have the necromancy feel or not.

Right now? The range is way WAY too short. It should really be around thunderlash range. What necromancer do you see in any iteration, that has to sprint up to someone and put zombies on them, then run away? It is antithetical to the very purpose of having a pet build.. They should be a buffer, a meat shield.. Like, come on guys.. It is just weird as it is now.

Thunderlash is 2300, that is a more reasonable range.

1500? You're basically pressed into the opponent.

"oh, but you have death hand!".. Right, death hand, which has nothing to do with controlling corpses (which is the definition of "necromancy" by the way).

Look, i don't play necromancer to suck people's blood, but that is what it has turned into. I want to set my zombies on people from a more reasonable distance, where i'm not pressed right into the opponent to cast it. Make necromancy about necromancy.. The zombies should be the heart of the skillset.

The whole point of zombies should be to act as a tank against PVP and PVE.. In PVE, you aggro the enemy before you can even cast the spell.. Which puts you in massive danger if you're not a more tanky style of mage.

Can you please increase the range of command undead, so i can feel like i'm not some weird melee hybrid, and an actual dark mage?

You fix the range on that one spell, you make necromancy about necromancy again, not some weird vampire hybrid nonsense.

Now, people will say "zombies should be controlled on summoning", i disagree with this idea. The way you have necromancy is fine, aside from this one spell, command undead. You can't have it so people summon pre-controlled zombies, or it would just be too broken; you'd have tower shield mages spam healing and dropping zombies everywhere.. It would ruin melee combat completely. Please never make that change.

Please fix the range on command undead, and you make necromancy feel like necromancy.

Also, one final note.. Not a huge fan of the zombie timer.. But i also understand why it exists.. Personally, i'd just put a spell in the game that lets you drop the zombie control from any range. But again, the main issue is the command undead spell range.
