I like that idea. It could use the system they have for marking the direction to go for the tasks. You drop a pin on the map and it shows the pin on the horizontal compass.

I would agree with you on this if there was no TC information on the map. But since they have put that information I think the characters current position would go along with that information.

When you think about it they already have the mechanics in the game. They would only need to copy butchery, but make it a salvage window and tool. Bam! new feature that returns materials based on skill level and item being salvaged and I am sure material type would play a factor...
