The Big Trade Broker Fix & Improvements Thread

Search filters for equipment, for instance min/max values of certain attributes; For example, I want to be able to search for a sword that has minimum 150 durability and at least 24 slashing damage, as well as a maximum str requirement of 77. Same function goes for armor and bows as well.

100% Henriks solution he mentioned on stream seemed to instead focus on leveling them via an npc for gold, which is a cheap and worse solution. It fixes part of the problem, sure, but it makes for less interactions and fewer people out leveling their pets.

Good catch, hadn't even noticed that.

100% agree. Having them auto attack to gain access to abilities is a so so idea on paper at best. Focus should passively regen to max regardless if your pet is fighting or not, and using its abilities should be a risk/reward situation.

I see where you're coming from and agree to a degree, but the things we have to allow for build diversity. If a pet deals 7-10 auto attack damage to steel imagine what it would do to light armored mages, and pets are already very strong mage destroyers as it is. So the auto attacks should...

Some good insights here, thank you for contributing. I disagree that aiming at your target for skills is bad. Some abilities require this, others don't. Pet buffs should not require you to aim at them since you're thematically just telling them what to do, but targeted damage abilites should...

Yeah that's in there already as a suggestion. Pets would get 100x the glory of its master, meaning 20 glory = 2000 pet exp (each level up requires 10k exp).

Thank you. I personally find them fun to use, but I find the idea of using their unique abilities efficiently A LOT of fun. As I'm mostly a pve kind of player, I really enjoy the the concept of pets and having to train and nurture them while having them do all your heavy lifting, and seeing...

I think that would only lead to a specific pet being the best stamina pet to use and everything else considered useless. Also, managing both focus and stamina for 3-4 pets does not sound fun at all. Pets chasing you down should mainly come from either what I call "torpedo" pets if you're a...

“Command and forget” The one thing we can all agree that we are trying to get away from is a playstyle that requires little to no skill to use, and telling your pets to attack someone and then forgetting about them is indeed not very skillful. I’ve already gone into detail about how to fix this...

This post has taken me quite some time to write and is quite long, but I really hope to start a constructive discussion on how to identify and fix the current problems with pets as well as finding solutions that are appreciated from ALL sides, including the people who want to completely remove...

Multiple Dynamic Spawns within 20 Yards of Each Other

Henrik got a lot of positive feedback because of the rewards, nothing else. All the min-maxers got real thirsty when they realized trinket drop rates were high for the outlaws, which have since gotten nerfed.

Multiple Dynamic Spawns within 20 Yards of Each Other

When they were introduced people were really excited so Henrik doubled down on them. The problem is people were excited they had good drops, not the actual spawns. My suggestion would be to have them spawn in fewer numbers, maybe even just 1 or 2, and that they drop an item that you can...

Pets are ruining small scale PVP

Yeah, but a well timed movement speed buff for the pets that have them SHOULD be able to catch up with even the fastest Veela, but that's just for a short duration of the buff.

Pets are ruining small scale PVP

The problem isn't pets, it's CERTAIN pets that are way too strong in one way or another. I play as a dedicated beastmaster and most of my pets die really quickly if focused. People spamming dire wolves, risen taur dogs and celaeno's does not mean PETS are broken, just that those pets are...

    Bloat - Fixing food/cooking

To clarify, bloat is just a stat to show how hunger efficient the food is, not a stat characters have. My system would literally fix what you described. The reason people only get food with extreme amounts of ONE type of noursihment is so they can manange them one at a time, but Bloat would...

    Bloat - Fixing food/cooking

There are many things we could add to cooking and sophistication is definitely one of them, but right now in SV's dev cycle they don't have time to put in that entire system, because then it would become yet another half done system that relies on another half done system. My suggestion is a...

Balance for shields and armor suggestion

If str requirments are coming we should be all good as long as the shields usage in the first place is worth anything. I think blocking/parrying is flawed since no one will EVER block attacks; either you parry or you fail and get hit. A much better system would be if holding a parry would...

    Bloat - Fixing food/cooking

There isn't enough reasons to eat any food that isnt just THE best stam/health/mana food which are boring one-ingredient dishes. I suggest Bloat to be a stat in addition to the ones we already have for food. Atm each unit of food that you eat removes 6 hunger, which would represent 6 Bloat...

Balance for shields and armor suggestion

The actual problem with shields is that weapon parries have been bugged for so long that people will freak out once they fix it; Weapons don't take ANY durability damage when you parry, but shields do. No only are shields defensive, they should soak dura damge from your weapon. Once this is...
